This collection contains various papers and ephemera belonging to Henry Abbott, as well as papers about Abbott, specifically in the year after his death in the 1940s.
The majority of the collection is comprised of official documents belonging to Abbott. There are a number of patents issued to Abbott during the second half of the 19th Century, as well as copyrights issued by the Library of Congress, and a mortgage and bond issued to Abbott.

This collection is comprised of various documents belonging to Horace R. Danner. This includes correspondence as well as informatino on various watch companies, including the Illinois Watch Company, Columbus Watch Company, and the Waltham Watch Company. Additionally, there are a couple certificates of guaranty for watch movements and several certificates of shares of stock for several companies including Waltham Watch Company and Elgin National Watch Company.

This collection includes several programs of an event hosted periodically by New York University. The event is titled The James Arthur Lecture on time and Its Mysteries. The programs contain information on the James Arthur Foundation and the James Arthur Collection of Timepieces that were housed in the Gould Memorial Library on the New York University Campus of University Heights, as well as event specific information such as speaker, time, and date.
