Trimmer Collection

 Collection
Identifier: MG-427
This collection is comprised of several ledger books noting the accounts of Jewelery store in York, Pennsylvania. This includes the type of watches that were handled by the jeweler, including serial numbers and brief notes on repairs, as well as charges made to their customers for these repairs. The ledgers span twenty years of records, from 1916 through 1936. There are two identical blank invoice books with Harry E. Trimmer printed on the top, along with an address of the jewelry shop. It is unclear if this Harry E. Trimmer was the owner of the shop for the entire span of years that corresponde with the ledgers in this collection, or if the jewelery shop was a family buisness that Harry E. Trimmer took over for at some point. In one of the earlier ledgers, there is an invoice including within the pages that seem to make mention of an A. Trimmer.
