Collection: Maker & Repair Records | NAWCC LARC Archives Public Interface

This collection includes a number of accounting and/or repair ledgers and notebooks. They range in dates from the first half of the 19th Century through the mid-20th Century. They are primarily from the United States with some ledgers possibly originating from Europe. There are ledgers originating from Ohio, South Dakota, New York City, Connecticut, and more.

The legders are primarily account books, keeping trake of repairs made to watches and clocks, as well as charges applied for the repairs.

These records are open to researchers for personal or scholarly research. Most of the records in the collection are available for photocopy, depending on the preservation needs of the material as well as other variables not specified here. These records are part of the permanent collection in the archives of the Library & Research Center of the National Watch and Clock Museum and researchers are required to comply with the Archive Rules when using the collection.
