Blakeslee Forging Company, 1940
File — Box: Legal - Tall, Box: 69, Folder: 4
The photographs in this series mostly depict the factory, products, personnel, events, and manufacturing operations of Hamilton. The majority of photographs are black and white silver gelatin prints made between 1930-1970. Remainder of series is comprised of negatives, transparencies, and reproductions.
Subseries G.E. Shubrooks is comprised of photographs from two of his personal scrapbooks. The images document many intersections of his personal and professional life. While Shubrooks documented tools, machines, and labs at Hamilton, he also captured candid images of his colleagues at work, which offers a unique and refreshing view of personnel in contrast to company mandated headshots.
