Alloys - Invar, 1929 - 1951

File — Box: Letter, Box: 51, Folder: 12
Series contains personal papers, articles, publications, reports, data, correspondence, specifications, procedures, and photographs. These materials reflect the social structures of personnel, as well as research and development activities at Hamilton. Nearly a quarter of the entire collection comes from Shubrooks files. As evidenced by notes on many documents, he intentionally obtained and organized records on specific topics, most of which pertained to his fields of expertise: metallurgical and chemical research. In addition to various publications (journals), the records typically consist of correspondence and procedures that detail the acquisition and testing of raw materials. From short-term internal projects to the international industry, he documented innovations and achievements in metallurgy, chemistry, and watchmaking.
