Museum Slides Collection
Series
Identifier: MG-440
This collection includes slides of objects, exhibits, and various other elements of the National Watch and Clock. The slides are primarily of museum accessions, exhibits, and loaned items from the latter quarter of the 20th Century. The slides in this collection do not include slides and images of all museum pieces, exhibits, or loans from this time period, and it is unclear why these pieces were chosen for photography. The majority of the slides are of museum objects. There are different amounts of slides associated with each object listed in this collection; some pieces have one or two accompanying slides, while others have significantly more. Most of the pieces have only a couple slides. Some of the slides appear to be duplicate images, while others are of various angles and/or details of the piece. The Engle clock slides in this collection include images of transporation, assembly, and details of various figures of the clock--however, this is an outlier in this collection and most do not have this level of documentation. A few of the accession numbers could not be matched with an associated museum object. It is unclear why this is at this moment.
