NAWCC Chapter Newsletters Collection

 Collection
Identifier: MG-369
This collection is comprised of newsletters and ephemera created by various Chapters of the National Association of Watch and Clock Collectors. The scope of what is in a chapter newsletter varies from chapter to chapter; some chapters include articles, while others focus on meeting highlights or events, chapter president messages, and other various announcements. Some of the series include correspondence regarding the corresponding chapter's events, formation, and maintenance.

Please note that not all series of chapter newsletters are complete, and there are some gaps in the collection. Some of the series are more complete than others, while other series include no newsletters and instead focus on meeting and/or event notices, while other series are comprised of only a notice of chapter recall.

Arrangement

This collection is arranged into subseries based on chapter numbers, with each chapter having its own subseries. Please note that not all chapters have newsletters and thus chapter numbers may not match up with series numbers.

Custodial History

Newsletters are mailed into the headquarters of the NAWCC where they pass through the Membership department for processing before being sent to the library and subsequently to the archive.

Immediate Source of Acquisition

Newsletters are stored upon reciept in the library in filing cabinets in folders corresponding with the chapter number. They are stored here until they can be processed into this collection.

Accruals

The repository continues to add material to this collection on a regular basis. As newsletters are created and recieved by the library, they are put aside and every few years are processed into this collection.
