The bulk of the items in this collection focus on the subject of Seth Thomas and New England horology. This includes histories of the Seth Thomas Clock Company as well as various newspaper articles about Seth THomas and General Time. There are a number of photographs as well. There are photographs of the Seth Thomas factory in Thomaston, Connecticut. This includes a few photographs of the factory in the immediate aftermath of a flood in 1955. There are also a number of photographs of a "factory clock shop" circa the 1990s.



Additionally, there is some information on sundials included in this collection. This primarily includes a number of drawings, sketches, and equations.

These records are open to researchers for personal or scholarly research. Most of the records in the collection are available for photocopy, depending on the preservation needs of the material as well as other variables not specified here. Researchers, however, are responsible for obtaining copyright permission to use materials and documents. These records are part of the permanent collection in the archives of the Library & Research Center of the National Watch and Clock Museum and researchers are required to comply with the Archive Rules when using the collection.
