Lecture Notes -- Wooden Clock Movement for a Grandfather Case, not dated

File — Box: Letter, Box: 1, Folder: 7

This collection is comprised primarily of horological school materials belonging to or in the possession of Y. Emanuel Seibel. This includes material from when Seibel was a student at the Wasburn School in Chicago, Illinois as well as material from when Seibel was an instructor at the American Academy School of Horology in Denver, Colorado.

The material from Wasburn School include notebooks of topics covered, formulas, exam schedules, and questions from exams. This includes one notebook of Seibel's as well as one notebook belonging to a W.H. Sanders that managed to find its way into Seibel's possession. Sanders appears to have been a student at the Wasburn school during the early 1920s.

The material from the American Academy School of Horology includes lecture notes, exam questions, and drawings and illustrations. This appears primarily to be Seibel's notes as an instructor at this school during the 1950s, though most of the material is not dated.
